REX runs on Microsoft Windows-11 under the Windows Subsystem for LINUX [WSL].
See REXinstall.txt for detailed instructions.

REX is fully self-contained and will install and run on ANY x86 LINUX distro. There are
no external dependencies to download and install.

REX supports the following image formats:

  TIFF
  PNG
  FITS
  WEBP
  AVIF
  legacy PBM/PGM/TGA uncompressed
